Since I have a lot of my plate right now and have so much to do this weekend, my brain wants to do everything but work on what I’m supposed to be doing. My vice when I’m stressed out and don’t want to do my work is organizing. I ended up doing a complete overhaul of my bathroom accessories. I removed the ugly containers that were being used beforehand and cutback on the amount of cosmetics I have to keep in my bathroom. I have created a small vanity area in my bedroom by my dresser, and I have moved most of my cosmetics there. I now have a classy and sophisticated welcome to any guests that have to use my bathroom. By collecting some items that I already had around the house and repurposing them for a bathroom, I created a much cuter bathroom.
I took a short trip to H&M and this is what I got!
On Friday, one of my best friends told me about this store called Club Clio that is a Korean makeup and cosmetics company that was recommended to her by a friend from college. She was told specifically about an eyebrow marker that acts like a temporary tattoo that can last up to a week! The sales women at the store says that you apply it at night and then comb your brows with the wand in the morning, and you’ll have perfect brows all day.
While I was in East Hampton, my cousin Leah told me about this pop up shop in Montauk that she was working on this weekend. Founded by Rosario Dawson and Abrima Erwiah, Studio 189 is a collective of people from diverse creative backgrounds that provide a fashion platform for African and African-inspired designs. Studio 189 has special fashion collection that is produced exclusively by artisans in Africa, called Fashion Rising. The goal behind Studio 189 and the Fashion Rising collection is to provide education, economic opportunity, and a feeling of empowerment for women in Africa. […]
I went into Aldo hoping to find a pair of shoes that were on sale for vegas. Nothing on sale fit right or looked that great. I decided to get to ask a sales rep for help, and god were they helpful! Bring up pair, after pair, after pair, as I decided what I wanted. She was so helpful, I now regret not taking a selfie with her to post here!
I purchased an Eyeko liquid metal eyeliner in black and a Manna liplocked priming gloss stain in coral crush. The Eyeko brand of eyeliner is one of the best brands I know for a liquid eyeliner for that perfect cat eye. The Manna lip gloss stain is Birchbox sample that I got in a much deeper color than the coral I purchased. I hated the color that I got in my Birchbox but other people seemed to really like it as a lip stain, so I thought I would try it in a color I know I’d like. It goes on really thick but so far the color has lasted.
I also purchase the limited edition lovely day box by Birchobx. It comes with a multitude of wonderful samples! A full size Cargo blush, a full size Claudalie vinoperfect radiance serum, a full size Davines anti aging hand cream, a full size Greenleaf bella freesia candle tin, several Harney and Sons teas, a Illume go be lovely rollerball perfume, a full size Jouer hydrating lipstick, a Living Proof perfect hair day night cap overnight perfecter sample, two full size Nails inc gel effect polish, and a Rituals foaming shower gel sample. So much wonderful stuff to try out!
Outfit of the day. Jacket from Urban Outfitters by Timo Weiland for Champion. Jeans from Levis, and gray top from Aritzia by Wilfred.
This is my new adorable nightstand tray from Crate and Barrel. I’ve decorated it with some recycled Voluspa candle tins, and some accessories from Urban Outfitters.
These are the lovely presents I got for (late) easter from my boyfriends mom! She’s so sweet and incredibly adorable.
When my mom told me to check out Banana Republic, I was skeptical. However, when I finally went, I was pleasantly surprised by this jacket!
